EXPEDITER™ Polyimide (Kapton®) UID labels provide excellent temperature resistance and durability. Polyimide is a durable synthetic that resists the high temperatures of printed circuit board manufacturing as well as harsh fluxes, cleaners, saponifiers and wave soldering environments. It is used to label printed circuit boards and electronic components. Kapton® is a polyimide film that is trademarked and marketed by DuPont.
EXPEDITER™ Polyimide UID labels feature 2.4 mil white polyimide which is thermal transfer printed using premium resin ribbons for maximum durability and contrast. The addition of a 1 mil Polyimide overlaminate allows certification per MIL-PRF-61002 Grade A, Composition C, Type 1 or 2, Style 1 or 2. It also gives an amber color to Polyimide UID labels.
